
JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Customer Service Representative
FLSA: Non-exempt (hourly)
POSITION SUMMARY: Our Customer Service Representatives (CSR) are a vital link between the customer and the company. First and foremost, he/she must satisfy the needs of the customer as well as follow company policy while adhering to all applicable laws. The CSR works under the primary supervision of the Site Supervisor and Retail Area Manager in a fast-paced environment.
Principal Duties
- Serve our customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
- Operate a cash register/credit card terminal and accurately count money transactions.
- Prepare routine daily shift reports as directed by the Site Supervisor.
- Perform stocking duties including lifting a maximum of fifty (50) pounds from the floor to shelf level.
- Perform indoor/outdoor housekeeping and maintenance duties as directed by the Site Supervisor. Duties may include, but are not limited to shoveling snow, sweeping/mopping, empty trash and general cleaning of restrooms.
- Perform duties related to opening and closing the store for business. Duties may include securing all cash and credit cards and operating the security system.
- Actively engages in cross-selling other products to customers.
- Reports to work at the assigned/scheduled time.
- Performs other duties as required by the Area Manager and/or Site Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Must be patient and helpful in assisting customers.
- Must possess basic computer skills to operate cash registers/calculators, etc.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directions in regards to paperwork and daily reporting that is required
- Must be able to lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds from the floor to shelf level
Work Conditions
- Schedule includes nights, weekends and holidays.
- Smoke-free environment that will be primarily indoor work but at times may be exposed to heat/cool outdoor temperatures as well as when entering coolers.
